My my first clue that Mormonism was not proper was its authoritarian structure.

I still left Mormonism very long in advance of I understood about stuff like blood atonement
preached by Brigam Young and the Adam-God doctrine.
It is my reasoning that the church was just an authoritarian,
polygamous cult like the fundamentalist LDS church of right now.
The early leaders talked about risks of disobeying church authority (just like
they do now) and as a result of my reasoning come to conclude that they killed
or brought on actual physical damage to all those who did
not listen. The Mormon church caused a lot oppression in my lifestyle and I am now glad to be
a no cost thinker and not sure to church authority. I really feel improved now
that I am "merely" a Christian. I am joyful now, come
to feel fewer pressure and glance back again on my
LDS stint with shame. I have a few very little boys and I smile everytime
I consider that they will hardly ever go to early morning seminary, by
no means provide missions, by no means pay out tithing, by no means go
to the temple and in no way sense the identical pressures, guilt and cog dis that my
spouse and I have.
