The Doors had been an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, with vocalist
Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore.
Manzarek was then in an unsuccessful band known as Rick & the Ravens with his brothers Rick and Jim, though drummer John Densmore was enjoying with
the Psychedelic Rangers and knew Manzarek from meditation courses.
